100% Natural Materials

The Acuitis creation by Frédéric Beausoleil

To create unique and elegant collections, Frédéric Beausoleil selects the finest materials. Natural and biocompatible, they are worked with delicacy in order to bring out all their brilliance. From his know-how, his delicate and meticulous work of the material, are born exclusive collections.

Mother-of-pearl

An eco-responsible material, from the marine world and unique in eyewear: mother-of-pearl shell. This innovation offers a singular collection, with feminine shapes and iridescent reflections.

The cotton flower

Also called artificial silk, cellulose acetate is a natural, living material, made up of 80% cotton flower. To create color swatches, the acetate plates are colored and welded together. They are then cut into eyeglass fronts to be milled, filed, polished and assembled by hand to the temples. The realization of an Acuitis creation requires 60 successive artisanal and industrial operations.

Bamboo

Our iconic collection of Bamboo eyewear is a skilful blend of cotton flower front and real bamboo temples. The part of the bamboo used to create this collection is the main stem, called the culm or cane. Because it is lignified and partitioned at the knots, this stubble creates all the uniqueness of each frame. The cellulose acetate face is sculpted, polished and assembled by hand to be then combined with the bamboo wood branches.

Carbon

The Carbon Collection is an astonishment of technological innovations. The frames are cut from pure carbon fiber. Ultra light and resistant, they magnify the woven structure characteristic of carbon fiber. This exceptional material provides comfort due to its flexibility and lightness.

Exotic woods

The richness of this collection comes from the diversity of wood species used, all biocompatible. These frames are made with the ECO Friendly glued-laminated technique which brings a new innovation thanks to the addition of a carbon sheet in its structure. This makes it possible to strengthen and lighten the glasses. These frames are made of various wood species depending on the colors of the veneers such as Beech, Ebony, Walnut, Rosewood, Wenge, Tay Wood, Tanganyika Wood.
